Got this haul a week ago...oops.

I found the new Mini Racers Hot Rod Mater 15-pack a little over a week ago...and never posted it here....This pack is great, it had six minis that I didn't have before (the non-metallic Sterling, Flip, Buck, Artist Ramone, Todd, and of course, Hot Rod Mater himself.) I love seeing new minis from Cars 2, and new Mater variants, so this pack is definitely a win in my book!

Long Awaited Minis Haul!

I just found these Mini 3-Packs at Target, I had no idea that they were even out in the U.S.! This latest wave of mini 3-packs has some great new releases, most notably Lizzie, who finally got a Mini Racer after four years of waiting! There's also the Racing Red 3-pack with 3 new releases! I always think it's so cool whenever they make Mini versions of cars that were originally made for the 1:55 scale line, like these or the XRS Minis from a few years back. I hope that the other three Racing Red cars (Francesco, Cruz, and Jackson) are made as well, maybe as their own 3-Pack? Then, finally, there's the Dusty Rust-eze, Lightning, and Mater 3-Pack, easily the weakest one in my opinion. Mater being included instead of Rusty is really unfortunate and a really cheap move in my opinion. Despite this, the mini for Dusty looks great! All in all, I'm really excited to have these new minis, and I can't wait to see what minis are made next, as the new releases are always big surprises for me!

Joe Don Jackson Haul!

...What? Having a clever name for every haul is difficult.

Recently picked up Joe Don Jackson, another car that I missed out on earlier in the year. He definitely isn't my favorite of the legends, but he definitely is a unique one!

New Haul: Better Late Than Never!

I picked up Robert Jamjones here last week, a great 2021 release that I really wanted to get. I was starting to get concerned that I wouldn't be able to find him in a store, since he's been out for a while know and I hadn't seen him, but I was able to find him at Target!

New Mini Pack Haul!

I was really shocked to see that a local toy store by me has started selling the new mini racer 10-packs, which aren't sold in stores in my area. I picked up this one for the exclusive Radiator Springs Ramone (which is one of my favorite Ramone paint jobs) and I also got it for the Fillmore mini, who I did not have yet. The rest of the minis are going to be made into a bunch of different customs that I've been wanting to make.

Very Mediocre 2-Pack Haul

 Meh.

No, but really, there isn't much to say about this 2-pack that I picked up at Target today. I've been very disappointed with the 2021 2-packs, as none of them have that many interesting rereleases like the 2-packs of other recent years. Out of all of the 2021 2-packs, there is only one new release exclusive to a 2-pack: Double-Clutch Daley. I really hope that next year's 2-packs are better, but until then, this is probably going to be the last 2-pack I'll buy for the year, as it's the only one with a car in it that I don't have: Okuni. Despite Shigeko and Okuni having been rereleased several times throughout the years, I actually never got Okuni until now, so it's nice to finally have her. I did, however, have Shigeko, so I'm not quote sure what I'll do with her. Even though this 2-pack had a car I was missing, it still isn't all that interesting to me, as this same 2-pack was released back in 2016. I really would've preferred to see Tamiko in this 2-pack instead of Shigeko, but, whatever.... Let me know your thoughts on this 2-pack (and 2021 2-packs in general) in the comments!

New Target Haul!

I did not expect to find the latest wave of singles so soon, but I'm very glad I did! I just picked up Nick Shift, Clovis Rider, Racing Red Francesco, and Rusty Cornfuel at Target, four great releases that I'm happy to have found! I've been wanting Nick Shift for a long time, Racing Red Francesco has been one of my most anticipated 2021 releases, Clovis is way cooler than I first thought (I didn't like him much at first), and Rusty Cornfuel is another very nice piston cup racer that I was missing. Let me know what you think about these guys in the comments!

New Color Changer Haul!

After my first hunt for the month, I'm back home with just one new car: the very cool Color Changer Crusin' Lightning McQueen. While I'm disappointed that I couldn't find the Fillmore that released at the same time as him, I'm really happy to have this McQueen. This is the first time Crusin' mcQueen has been made as a color changer, and I love how he changes to black, I think it looks great! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Another Small Haul

I was pleasantly surprised with how well stocked my Target stores were the other day, and I was able to pick up a new car at one of them: the View Zeen racing tractor. While I didn't really like this tractor at first, I've really come around to liking it. Just like the rest of the tractors, it's a very impressive and detailed release!

New Haul, Just in Time!

Now that I'm filming my Ty's Cars Four fan film, I was starting to get concerned that I wouldn't be able to find some of the last cars I needed for it in time. Luckily for me, I was able to find the cars I needed in the nick of time, as well as some other cars I've been looking for: Hot Rod Louise Nash, Pam Wheeldarrow, "Dash" Boardman, and Blind Spot, who I got to repaint. All of these cars are really great, and do'm glad that I was able to find them just in time....but as for which of these cars will be in the movie and what they'll do, you'll just have to find out on June Ninth, when I release my Ty's Cars Four fan film!

Sort of Random item Haul

I stopped by two stores yesterday, where I picked up two items that are pretty random: The John Haulstead hauler, who is my first Next-Gen hauler, and the first hauler I've bought in over a year, and the 2021 rerelease of Rusty and Dusty, who I bought to repaint. This haul really isn't anything all that special, the items aren't all that interesting (although John looks great and I am very impressed with how he turned out), but despite this, I still think that every haul is worth documenting! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

2021 Deluxe Haul from Ebay!

I don't usually buy new cars releases online, as I prefer to find them in the store instead, but I haven't found deluxes in any of my stores all year, so made an exception for these two cars: 95 and 51 Hat Mater and the brand new Xavier Roaddault, the Cars 3 Spare Mint Cab. Although I love Mater variants, I'm not the biggest fan of this one, since he didn't appear in Cars 3 and has no need to be a deluxe. I think he looks very good, but the fact that he was a deluxe and that he didn't appear in the movie didn't make me like him as much as I hoped. But, regardless, I'm always happy to see a new Mater get released. I also really like Xavier, the first Cars 3 cab to be released without a trailer attached (not counting Mack, of course). While I really would've preferred to get the full hauler instead of just the cab, that is only because I really like how the design turned out, and I wish that I could see more of the design. Anyway, that's my haul for today! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

New Mini 3-Packs Haul from Wednesday!

I was really surprised to see the next wave of Mini Racer 3-Packs in a Target near me less than three weeks after I found the last wave. This latest wave of 3-packs continues to include some very cool and ambitious minis that really shows what the Mini Racers can do. Most notable is Tractor, who looks incredibly good(even though the front wheels don't roll) but I think that Dexter Hoover is really cool, too(even though he's missing his flag.) High Impact is sort of a dud to me, I wish that the other cars in the pack were more interesting. Unlike the other packs, where the new release really made the pack desirable for me despite the dull other cars included, I feel like High Impact (although she looks great) really isn't too interesting, and I wish that the pack included a Thunder Hollow racer other than Fishtail (Again) and a Chester Whipplefilter instead of (Again) the innacurrate Lightning. But those are just my thoughts! Let me know yours in the comments!

(oh...and I also picked up the 2021 Erik Lanley and Alex Carvill pack to repaint. Those are there, too.)

2021 Birthday Haul!

I'm very happy with the cars that I got for my birthday back on Sunday (May Second). These are all older releases of background characters that I've wanted for a while, and they include:

Milton Calypeer

Timothy Twostroke

Milo

Mary Esgocar

Haiki

and Kimberly Rims and Carinne Cavvy

These are all very good older releases, and I've wanted Milton ever since he came out in 2009, so he is really a highlight to me! I also think it's really cool to have Milo, as I see him as a very underrated release, and he is the first car in my collection that I have ever bought on the original Final Lap Collection card! All of the others are great, too, and they will all fit nicely in my collection and in my upcoming Cars Fan Film, where they can help fill out the scenes.

NASCAR Wave 3 and New Singles Haul!

Back on Thursday, I was shocked to once again be one of the first to find the nest set of NASCAR Racers, this time around Gogo Logano and Ryan "Inside" Laney. These two are awesome, and so are the rest of the new singles I found!

These include the long awaited Next-Gen M Fast Fong, the (also very long awaited) Saludos Amigos Ramone, Todd Marcus, who I am glad to finally add to my collection, and Racing Red Sally, who, much like the rest of her racing red counterparts, looks far better than I expected!

Finally, the Rest of the New Minis!

I'm so very glad to have found the final two early 2021 Mini Racers 3-packs I was missing: the pack with Francesco, WGP McQueen, and Mater, and the Pack with George New-Win, Jackson Storm, and Gale Beaufort. As someone whose stores don't carry the mini blind boxes, loves Cars 2 diecasts,
and loves seeing new ideas with the mini racers, I can't wait to open these up!

Sunday, April 18, 2021

Finally, Some New Minis!

I've been looking for the 2021 Mini Racer 3-packs for months now, and I'm very glad to finally find some more: the Cotter Pin 3-pack and the Tokyo mater 3-pack. While I'm not the biggest fan of Hot Rod Smokey, it's still cool to see a mini of him. I'm even more excited about the Tokyo Mater 3-pack, though, as the exclusive Tokyo Mater looks absolutely awesome, and it's great to see more Cars Toon Minis!

...Oh, and I picked up the APB and Broadside 2-pack for repaints. Those are there, too.

Repaints Haul! (and NASCAR Mater, him, too.)

I picked up a few cars back on Thursday: The 2021 Rerelease of Cartney Carsper to review and then repaint, another Dinoco Mia and Tia 2-pack to use for repaints, and finally, the NASCAR Crew Chief Mater, who is new for me. Even though Mater is my favorite character to collect, this car is probably my least favorite from the NASCAR crossover. To me, he looks like a knock-off or a custom, just being one solid color instead of the usual rusty Mater. Maybe I'll like this car more after I review it, but for now, it's definitely an odd release to me. Let me know your thoughts on these cars in the comments!

Ty's Cars 4: First Teaser Poster

I recently announced my Ty's Cars 4 Fan Film, a fan-made continuation of the Disney-Pixar Cars Series. This is a look at the first poster for the movie, featuring the first look at a new, custom-painted Cruz Ramirez inside of my custom Dinoco Mack, surrounded by the press and fans. But Mack and Cruz aren't
the only new customs here...in the crowd, you can spot a custom-
painted green press car, as well as a new custom Maddy McGear, with Golden memorabilia on her instead of her usual red and yellow accessories. What does all of this mean? Tune into Ty's Cars 4, releasing June 9, 2021, to find out, and keep checking the blog and my YouTube channel for more updates!

NASCAR Crossover Wave 2 Haul

I am ecstatic to be among the first to find the new second wave of the Cars-NASCAR crossover racers! My stores didn't get the first wave in, so I was only ever able to find Jackson Storm, but I am so glad to now have Lightning McQueen, Chase Racelott, and the New Characters-William Byrev and Carston "Ace" Dillon. These are all great, and Byrev and Carston are great fan service, as they bring back two sponsors cut from Cars 3, Shifty Drug and Sidewall Shine. As someone who is not interested in NASCAR, I do not have a connection with the real-world racers that these two are named after, but the returning sponsors make these among my favorite releases of 2021 so far!

Oh, and I found the Sputter Stop Racing Tractor, too. I've got to say, these tractors were cooler at first, and I feel like we're getting too many...I'm still a fan of them, though, and they are incredibly well detailed.

Let me know your thoughts on these cars in the comments!

Repaint Haul!

I recently picked these cars up over the weekend, 2021 Andrea, Tex, and another Suki and Ramone. I got all of these to repaint, except for Tex, who I really liked the Thailand variant of and wanted to keep as he was. Not the most interesting haul, but still one worth showing!

My Next Fan Film: Ty's Cars 4!

For the first time since 2018, I am making a new Disney Cars Feature-Length Fan Film! This Fan Film, entitled Ty's Cars 4, will be a celebration of the Disney-Pixar Cars Franchise, telling my own unofficial fan-made continuation of the Cars Series following the events of Cars 3. The Fan Film will be releasing on my Youtube Channel on June 9th, 2021, and more information will come out soon. The first teaser trailer is out now:

...Cool Car, Target...Weird Name, Though.

I found Ducky Fauntleroy here at Target back on Sunday, and I've got to say, I love how this car turned out! His color scheme reminds me of an old Coca-Cola Bottle, and I think the red looks great on him! I just don't understand why his name is Ducky...is it a reference to Ducky from Toy Story 4? Or is it just a weird name? We'll never know....

Double Clutch, Double Store Haul

...Sometimes it's hard to come up with a clever title for these posts...I went on my usual weekly shopping trip and found the new 2021 Double Clutch Daley and Doc Hudson 2-pack at Target. Double Clutch was one of my most anticipated releases for the first half of the year, so I'm glad to get him...even though I had to buy another Dirt Track Fabulous Hudson Hornet to get him....

I then went to Walmart and decided to pick up a 2021 Francesco. I only have the old 2011 Francesco, and he's been updated a but since then (mainly with the color of the base) so I'm interested in comparing the two. Let me know your thoughts on this haul in the comments and check back soon for more!

First Minis of 2021!

I finally found some of the new 2021 mini racers back on Saturday at two different Targets. I am incredibly excited to see all of the new minis coming out this year as the toyline expands to include more cars from other parts of the franchise. While these two packs aren't my favorites of the new line of 3-packs, they are still great! The first pack I found includes Dinoco Chick Hicks, the King, and the exclusive of Bling Bling McQueen, who I think looks great, with the exception of the wheels, which I feel unfortunately could have been done far better.
I also found the new Racing Center 3-pack with RRC Lightning McQueen, Cruz, and Kurt. While I'm, not the biggest fan of all of the Racing Center trainees, Kurt is the first one to get the mini treatment, and I think he turned out very well. I also picked up the Easter Buggy, which I was very HOPPY to find before Easter(see what I did there? I...I'm sorry for that pun.) Let me know your thoughts on these in the comments!

The Final Color Changer I Needed (For Now!)

I stopped by Target today to see what stock was like in the middle of the week compared to the weekend when I usually go. I was able to find the new Color Changer of the King, the last Color Changer that I need that is currently available. And, as cool as this guy is, it really bothers me to see that his spoiler doesn't change colors...Aside from that, he's great, and I'm glad to finally see the King get a Color Changer.

Finally, Some New 2021 Cars!

Finally, after weeks and weeks of searching, I've found some new 2021 Cars! I found four at Target, and the fifth car (Green Ramone) at Wal-Mart.

The updated Green Ramone looks nice, and I'm glad to see them continuing to make updates to old Ramones

Mildred Bylane is a rerelease that I didn't expect to see, but I'm very glad that it happened!

Suki is a car that has been rereleased time and time again, but I have somehow never gotten her until now. While she isn't the most exciting release, I'm always happy to get any new Cars 2 background characters!

The Easter Buggy McQueen is a very surprising release to me. Cancelled back in 2018, he is finally out. I'm really happy to get a new variant of the Hudson Hornet Piston Cup McQueen, as it's one of my favorite paint jobs of his.

And finally, the Racing Red Jackson Storm is way, way cooler than I thought it would be. I love how this Jackson looks with his metallic Red paint job, and I can't wait to open him to take a closer look!

Brand New Endurance Racer Sheldon Shifter Found!

I am very excited to be one of the first people to report on finding the new RS 24HR
Endurance Racer Sheldon Shifter! While this series isn't one of my favorites, I must say this Sheldon Looks really cool!

My First NASCAR Crossover Diecast!

While I'm personally not interested in NASCAR or real world racing, I, like many other Cars fans, am a very big fan of the Disney Cars/NASCAR Crossover diecast line, featuring both reimaginings of characters, as well as all-new characters. I've been searching hard for these cars over the past few weeks, and was finally able to find Jackson Storm a few days ago. As far as these NASCAR cars are concerned, I have to say that Jackson is probably my least favorite of the line. While he still looks great, he looks incredibly similar to his regular variant, compared to the rest of the racers, whose designs
stray further away from their usual looks. I really would've liked to have seen a bit more of a different design for this Jackson, but at the end of the day, I think he still looks really good, and I hope to find the rest of the first wave of NASCAR cars soon!

Small But Exciting Target Haul

Today at Target, I was finally able to find Will Rusch, the Next-Gen Vinyl toupee car. I've been hyped about this release since before it was even announced, as I absolutely loved the mini racer of Will which came out before the regular diecast. And, I must say, this guy really has lived up to the hype for me, and he is definitely one of my favorite Next-gens! Let me know your thoughts on this car in the comments!

Disney Store Car Haul From Ebay!

 Wow...that's a complicated post title...

I recently picked up the Disney Store's Chase Tie-Dye Fillmore
from a few years ago on eBay. This is my first of the older Disney Store cars(who used to come in acrylic cases instead of plastic and cardboard boxes.) While I'm often not a fan of the cheaper look of the Disney Store cars, this one is very impressive. I love his unique details, and the fact that he is an original idea for the toylike, and the packaging looks great! I'll be displaying this Fillmore out of his case, but he really does look great in it!

Cars Adventures Returns February Seventh with a New Season!

I'm proud to announce that my Cars series, Cars Adventures-Lap Two will finally be returning from hiatus on February seventh! The next season will mainly focus on the Tuners, as they come face to face with a familiar threat in Japan. Meanwhile, back in Radiator Springs, the townies continue to deal with their own small problems, including a group of annoying paparazzi cars that have started following Lightning. I may be releasing a trailer for the new season before it begins, but I'm not to sure. What are your theories for this season? Let me know in the comments!

Finally, a New 2021 Car Haul!

I finally found three new cars at Target today, the long-awaited Hot Rod River Scott (who was cancelled in late 2019, awkwardly leaving many of us with only Hot Rod Junior Moon and Smokey for over a year), and Darren Leadfoot and Manny Flywheel. I'm glad to have all three of these, although I'm a bit disappointed with how the Thailand version of Darren turned out. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

First Haul of the New Year!

I stopped by a few stores yesterday, and found my first haul of the new year: the new Color Changers Dinoco Car Wash players, a set that looks like fun and includes two exclusive cars: a color changers Dinoco McQueen (who strangely re-uses the mold of Cars 3 McQueen) and a strange plastic Dinoco pitty. I'm really excited to open this up and take a closer look at it!
